Cahawba Christian Academy

Early Development

Our Cahawba Christian Academy Daycare and Pre-school program provides a Christ-centered environment to care for children 6 weeks to 2 years old. Dedicated teachers work closely with parents to promote the healthy spiritual, physical, social, and cognitive development of the children entrusted into our care while preparing them with the foundations needed for our Preschool program. Both programs feature godly, nurturing teachers, and a challenging Christian-based curriculum with enriching activities to meet the needs of each child. We value the trust parents place in us as we pursue our mission of making disciples through building a solid foundation of faith and trust in God in the early years of a child’s life.

Elementary

The elementary years are vital in a young child’s life. During these crucial years, students begin to develop a love for learning and strong study habits - setting a solid foundation for higher learning. Our small class sizes and challenging Christian based curriculum allow our dedicated teachers to use differentiated instruction with hands-on activities to support each student’s unique learning style. At CCA, we believe each student learns at their own pace, and our elementary teachers are equipped to work with them from where they are academically to bring them forward. Using the Abeka Curriculum as our primary source of education, you can rest assured that each student will be taught well and set on a biblical foundation.

Middle School

The beginning of adolescence can be some of the most trying years of a student’s life. Not to mention it is also some of the most crucially important years that help set the tone for the rest of their school careers. Cahawba has dedicated a team of skilled educators to help academically and spiritually support each child during these years. CCA strives to equip students to continue on their God given pathways while implementing skills necessary to successfully conquer high school..

Classes include:

High School

High School is a wonderful time in which young men and women continue building upon their foundations, explore various academic and extracurricular interests, and begin planning for their future profession. Cahawba Christian Academy focuses on Spiritual guidance and leadership, along with the core academic requirements, all while supporting students’ individual needs to be successful after their time at CCA. Many of our seniors graduate with college credits through our dual-enrollment program. Occasionally, CCA will partner with local small business owners who allow our Junior and Senior students to job-shadow. This grants students the opportunity to obtain valuable experiences in different vocational trades before committing to any particular field of interest.

At CCA, every student is successful. It is our prayer that each student leaves CCA living a life that is dedicated to God, a heart for servitude in Christ, and a desire for discipleship, and reaching the community for Christ - all for the Glory and Honor of God.

M. Timothy Bonds Spiritual Leadership Scholarship

In Memory of M. Timothy Bonds

In 2022, the M. Timothy Bonds Spiritual Leadership Scholarship was created to honor the life and spiritual leadership of Principal Timothy Bonds. Mr. Bonds served Cahawba Christian Academy as both a teacher while his children were young and as Principal from 2013-2015. He touched many lives during his time at Cahawba Christian and it is our prayer that his legacy of spiritual leadership will be observed for many years to come.

Mrs. Penny Bonds presented 2022 Graduate Andrew Argo the M. Timothy Bonds Spiritual Leadership Scholarship on May 26, 2022.

National Beta Club

Cahawba Christian Academy is a member of the National Beta Club in the Senior Beta division. National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. And for more than 80 years, it has prepared today's students to be tomorrow's leaders.

National Beta Club MISSION STATEMENT

To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

ACHIEVEMENT - Recognizing and honoring high academic achievement
CHARACTER - Preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful
LEADERSHIP - Developing the leaders of tomorrow
SERVICE - Demonstrating our motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others

Between the Junior Beta (grades 4-8) and Senior Beta (grades 9-12), the organization has helped nearly seven million students learn how to make a life for themselves—and, since 1991, it has awarded over $6 million in scholarships.

There are now more than 445,000 active members and more than 9,600 clubs nationally and internationally. It has become the nation's largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization.

Although there are some universal requirements, each club has its own criteria for selection. Junior Beta is divided into two divisions: Elementary includes grades 4-5 and Junior includes grades 6-8. Senior Beta includes grades 9-12. Regardless of division, though, members adhere to the Beta mission and learn to embrace and embody its four pillars.

Beta’s mission originated with Dr. John W. Harris, a professor at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who founded the organization in 1934. Over 80 years have passed, but his vision and Beta’s mission have remained the same. And most everyone who has been fortunate enough to be called a member has embraced those ideals and applied them to their own lives. From U.S. President Bill Clinton to current professional basketball player Kevin Durant, Beta members continue to lead long after their high school days are behind them.
